“Inspired by nature” is how I describe this art

The art of creating a replica of a real flower, with perfection and great detail, making the flower a unique piece of art that can show its beauty forever! Each flower is sculpted petal by petal using Cold Porcelain, a soft and uniquely malleable clay that air-dries to a light-weight, durable and fine piece of art.

Hi, and thanks for visiting my website. My name is Ximena, wife and mother of 2 girls. I was born and raised in Bolivia – South America, in the beautiful city of Cochabamba, the capital city of flowers also known as the ‘City of Eternal Spring’ because of the spring-like climate that it experiences throughout the year. Now that I think about it, it makes sense that it was in my home city where my passion and love for flowers and nature started.

My interest in Cold Porcelain starts several years ago in Bolivia, where for the past few decades this art has evolved into precise methods that taught me from how to prepare my own Cold Porcelain Clay to mastering many different techniques of working with it. But it wasn’t until after getting my MBA and experiencing corporate America that I realized that I wanted to follow my passion and reach my true potential as a Cold Porcelain Artist and for the last few years as a Cold Porcelain Instructor. Since then I have not stopped creating lifelike floral sculptures, learning and teaching new techniques that take full advantage of the versatility that only Cold Porcelain Clay allows.
